Hatisatra, a beautiful monastery in Sualkuchi, is also one of the largest monasteries in the village. The place is dedicated to Lord Krishna and spreads the great message of Vaishnava culture. Founded by saint Kanu Bhra Thakur from Naranga, the monastery now attracts many pilgrims and is a popular tourist spot.
The Kirtan Ghokha (Assamese: কীৰ্তন ঘোষা) is a collection of poetic works, composed by the saint Srimanta Sankardeva for community singing in the Eka Sarana Naam Dharma.
Doul Utsav is a famous festival in Assam, India. Doul Utsav is also known as ‘holi’ or ‘Fakuwa’. It is celebrated in the Assamese month of “phagun” and “Chot”.
The Bhagavat of Sankardev is the Assamese adaptation of the Bhagavata Purana made by Srimanta Sankardev in 15th-16th century in the regions that form present-day Assam and Cooch Behar.
